Group Summary

The Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets.

About the Role

Coordinates quality planning including control plans, FMEA's, audit/inspection details, sample submissions and training plans for inspection.  Apply measures, sampling methods, testing methodology and other procedures that ensure quality standards are met. Monitors, reports and improves customer satisfaction performance.  Implements and maintains plant wide quality systems.

Your preferred qualifications

  • Engineering Degree, CQE and/or equivalent Diploma
  • 5 Years Automotive Manufacturing Experience
  • Knowledge of IATF16949 standards & requirements.
  • Training & Proficiency in Problem Solving Techniques
  • Excellent Written & Verbal Communication Skills
  • Ability to travel to Customer locations
  • Ability to drive Quality principles throughout Mytox
  • Ability to work as part of multidisciplinary teams in the areas of APQP, VA/VE, Corrective actions, continual improvements etc
  • Computer literate
  • AIAG Requirements (PPAP, PFMEA, MSA, etc.)

 

DESIRABLE ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Internal Auditor Training (IATF 16949)
  • 6 Sigma Black Belt or RED X equivalent accreditation.
  • Automotive manufacturing experience

Who we are looking for

  • Must have Tier 1 automotive manufacturing experience
  • Must have experience launching multiple programs at once
  • Stamping and welding experience is preferred

 

Salary range $85 - 90K will be determined based on skill set and years of experience.

Your Responsibilities

  • Communicate Customer and Internal issues to the Management Team
  • Lead in the investigation, tracking, resolution, verification and response to Customer complaints and Internal Quality issues.  This may include the necessity to travel to Customers facilities
  • Perform verification and ensure closure of all Customer and Internal C/A’s
  • Perform all Quality Related Items as part of an APQP Team for assigned programs (Control Plans, Gauge R & R’s, Inspection Procedures, etc.)
  • Supplier Quality & Supplier Development Activities
  • Verify / Prepare PPAP Packages to AIAG and customer specific requirements
  • Develop, implement, work within and maintain all Quality Assurance Procedures.  (BOS, IATF16949 and Customer Specific Requirements)
  • Conduct Internal LPA Product / Process Audits on time per the schedule
  • Verification of corrective action(s) in Product/Process Audit Nonconformance’s found are completed in a timely manner
  • Liaison with Mytox Field reps
  • Perform duties to ensure that their department policies, procedures and instructions are followed to satisfy requirements of the IATF 16949 quality management and ISO 14001
